                      | Dental Implants are currently the most advanced technique in replacing your missing tooth/teeth. They have been used and continuously being developed for over 30 years and yet the technology remains to be the ideal tooth replacement solution. Dental Implants are used to replace a missing tooth, a number of missing teeth, and as support to a dental fixture (bridge or denture containing multiple teeth). Implant-supported teeth fixtures not only feel, look, and function like natural teeth, but they also preserve the integrity of facial structure, and improve the look and function of the jaw. |

                      | A Dental Implant is made up of a threaded titanium cylinder (screw-like) that is surgically placed into the jaw bone to replace the root portion of a missing natural tooth. The titanium fixture will eventually integrate with your jaw bone in natural process known as “Osseo-integration.”  Once the integration is complete, a connector (which is called an Abutment) is screwed into the top end of the implanted titanium fixture that would serve as an attachment for either a Dental Crown to replace a single tooth, a Dental Bridge Retainer to replace several teeth, or even an Over-Denture to replace many or all of your teeth in your dental arch. | |

                      | Treatment time for the procedure will vary depending on your situation. It is possible to obtain well-functioning and aesthetic looking teeth within a few days, but in some cases, it may be necessary to wait a little longer (couple of months) for the implant screw to fully-integrate with the bone in order to obtain the best results.   AM I A CANDIDATE FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS?   Anyone who is missing one or more of their teeth, or even all of their teeth due to injury, disease, defects, or tooth decay may be a candidate for Dental Implants. The basic rule is that if you’re healthy enough to undergo a normal tooth extraction, then you are a probable candidate for the procedure. Dental Implants are suitable for any age, even for young adolescents as long as their jawbones are fully-developed. The jaws usually stop growing after the puberty stage (or between the ages of 16 to 18 years old). |

                      | | Another important consideration for a successful Dental Implant Procedure is having a sufficient amount of bone tissue available, including the quality of the said bone tissues. This can be determined using a combination of Dental X-rays and CT Scans if your bone tissue’s density and volume are sufficient enough for the procedure. In cases where there is lack of quantity and quality of bones tissues available, procedures like Bone-Grafting and Tissue-Regeneration can solve these problems so that a successful implant procedure can still be implemented. |

                      | Appropriate anaesthetic and patient sedation are utilized to eliminate any pain or discomfort during the procedure, especially during the process of the implant screw insertion. However, there may be some minimal discomfort to be expected after the procedure but they can be significantly reduced or eliminated with over-the-counter pain medications. |

                      | POST-OPERATIVE CARE INSTRUCTIONS (AFTER IMPLANT SURGERY) It is vital that proper instructions given by your dentist or oral surgeon be strictly observed, especially after the surgical procedure wherein the titanium implant screws are secured inside your gums. This may as well lead to a faster bone-integration and more stable foundation for your final prosthesis or dental crown, henceforth, resulting in a very successful post-operative recovery. |

                      | ✔ Strictly follow your dentist’s prescribed medications like Antibiotics and Pain Relievers.   ✔ Carefully apply gentle pressure to stop any bleeding by placing the provided gauze directly    over the surgical site. If excessive bleeding persists, immediately contact our clinic.   ✔ If any swelling occurs, simply place colds packs on the swelled area. (20 minutes on, and then 20 minutes off, repeating the interval if necessary, especially during the first 6 to 8 hours)   ✔ Eat only soft foods for next few days after your surgery. Avoid anything grainy like nuts or popcorn and don’t try to chew hard or crunchy foods, as this might cause additional invasiveness and these foods can leave certain particles on the implant site.   ✔ Do not smoke tobacco, especially right after the surgery. Nicotine or tar can be harmful on the surgical site, and inhaling could loosen the blood clot which could lead to excessive bleeding and cause more problems.   ✔ Do not consume any alcohol during the day of your surgical procedure and while on antibiotic and pain medications.   |
